The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) recently held a meeting with 12 businesses from the NIMBY Los Angeles side of San Fernando Road.  Also invited was the Glendale News Press.  Now who wasn’t invited or notified: 1.) The Glendale City Council and 2.) the Pelanconi Estates HOA - then they had the gaul to ask “Where are they?”.

Now, from what I read, the LA NIMBY’s were complaining about lack of access to the freeways.  I wish to point you to the access at Colorado St. Freeway, below the tracks, with access to all directions on both the 5 and the 134.  Please note that there are no unsafe ‘at grade’ crossings to traverse.  It is .9 miles from Doran plus the on-ramp provides 14’ 10” access to the freeway system with no lane changes necessary in order to access all 4 directions - much superior to the on-ramps available at Doran Ave.

The on-ramp at Colorado and Edenhurst.

The on-ramp at Colorado and Edenhurst with big rig access!

The off-ramp at Colorado and Edenhurst.

The RR crossing at Broadway / Brazil.  I want you to note the typical LA business NIMBY regard for the City of Glendale!

Note the Yellow and red sign below the green signal!

At least the LA city workers have a nice  place to have lunch before they have to go to work again.
